Guys,
Do any of you educated people out there know if the D3 tailgate spoiler (Land Rover Part No. LR007581) will fit to the D4 tailgate with or without modification?
Alternatively, does anybody know of any other aftermarket part that is available out there?

I don't think the tailgate is any different to the D3's.

Excuse my ignorance, but other than aesthetics, is there any function/value to fitting a spoiler to a Discovery?
FWIW - aesthetics would be a perfectly good justification in my book.

Aesthetics and individuality, how many of us drive a Land Rover that is as it came out of the factory, its part of the joy of ownership?
I'm afraid that somebody has hit me on the O/S/R bumper so im going to have to get this removed and painted, i've always liked the look of the rear tailgate spoiler so if i'm getting bodyshop / paint work done the spoiler could be fitted for a fraction of the cost of getting it done later.

That looks the business, but i'm still not convinced that the D3 spoiler will fit the D4 Tailgate !!

If it fits the D3 tailgate, it'll fit the D4!
Apart from the front wings [and cosmetics to the front bumper, grill & lights] all other exterior body panels are exactly the same as D3. ...... always on the road less travelled 🚧

You are welcome to come over and have a look and check sizes etc of tailgate.
But as Ron is saying, it all looks similar apart from the obvious changes between the 3 & 4.

I bet the tail gate is same between D3 and D4 but on my D4, actually LR4, I see a rear window washer knozzle located on high mount/3rd brake light. Does D3 have this too? I see that tail lamp is needed to be removed in order to install spoiler. What about the washer knozzle? TJ

Thanks for the offer but i've gone and breenged in there and bought the D3 spoiler to give it a bash, better a leader than a follower be!! I spoke to Stratstone LR and they recon there is no difference.
The pictures of your D3 were what swung it for me to take the plunge.

No worries DC.
So if i'm in the "Toon" and see a D4 with a tailgate spoiler, then it'll be you then. and as long as you have your Disco 4 sticker in view. ATB

I'm a wee bitty oot the muckle toon tae the north, but yes keep an eye out for the Stornoway Grey D4 with the sticker on the rear window, exhaust trims, chrome side tubes, side protection strips and hopefully soon the tailgate spoiler.
