Are you sure it's through the steering weel? Do you have an auto box? Could be that as well and in need of a flush. CLUB ILLEGAL CAR WASHERS

It doing it again today and i noticed it was windy, to clarify, between 50 and 60 mph the steering wheel will shake approx 30mm about 4 times a second and touching the brakes or cornering has no effect. A little knowledge is a dangerous thing!

mmmmm...... (Scratches head in confusion....)
If it was the wheel bearing, you would normally notice a difference if you brake....
Do you get any whining noises from the gearbox/diff areas? Just wonder if it might be a dodgy diff? Bodsys Brake Bible

Is it pulling to one side as well? Mine was doing this and it turned out to be an out of shape tyre. Not sure how it happened but we swaped the wheels around and the vibration could be felt at the back. Changed the tyres and the problem stopped.

I would take it to your local tyre place and have the wheels re balanced first, worked for me as some of the sticky weights had fallen off due to the garage not cleaning the surface first. Welcome and keep an eye open for North East meets and Kielder events we are a social bunch.

It does sound like a balance issue, I'd get them rebalanced. Also swapping front to back might be an idea. D3 HSE MY05 Auto

Mine wobbles on a road near my house. Doesn't do it anywhere else. Put it down to very slight grooves in the road. 2020 SDV6 D5 HSE, Carpathian Grey +
