Lightforce do lamps much higher than 1m. But it is the quality and size of the reflector that makes probably the biggest difference to the quality of beam that you get. They get bloody hot too. I know someone who wrote off their subaru pick up by putting the lamp on the seat without turning it off. Boy did it go up DS3 TDV6 HSE - Silver with Alpaca (old one) Gone

Right, after a productive day (lights fitted & wired, aux. battery clamp fabricated, 'floppy' mudflaps manufactured & fitted - cheers AndrewS )
Lightforce 240 'Blitz' fits the A bar nicely
Still plenty of room to remove the front grille for cleaning or changing the light beam when in enemy territory
The only niggle is the way the wires exit the fitting, no sleeving, just two silicon insulated single cables with no secondary insulation... some heatshrink and convoluted tubing soon fixed that 8)
Other than the above, the adjustment bolts neet to be tight - 'F' tight
Just waiting for nightfall to set the beam and the jobs done

Naaaaa... bottled out at £1400 for a pair of HID's - even the £1k + VAT via the site Slimer found wouldn't have been beneficial in a Mrs.10 sort of way

Don't you mean "wouldn't have been beneficial to your testiculars, in a Mrs. 10 sort of way" 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

They're already on the mantlepiece - for safekeeping, apparently
don't want to see them heading to the wheelie-bin
