Disco 4 convert ~ well nearly ~ should I do it? |
|
Hi,
Had my Disco 3 2.7 TDV6 S Auto for 4 years in July (from new and 30k trouble free miles) and looking to replace with a Disco 4 3.0 TDV6 GS Auto.
Anyone else made this transition or similar and have any regrets?
Interested to hear from anyone with advice.
Cheers

Had the use of SWMBO's D3 for 5 years now, still have, but I've just last month taken delivery of my own D4 replacing a long line of Audi's.
I really enjoy driving D3s of all specs, but the D4 is just that little bit special in comparision, the 3.0ltr is sooo smooth
However, if you've got a D3 of the spec you like and it's not given you any trouble, I'd serious think twice before going for a D4 - you don't get the same in the D4 specs as in the D3 equivalent spec and they cost more. What I'm trying to say is, if it's a case of changing for change sake I don't think I'd do it, if you have to change, then yeah go for a D4 you won't be disappointed.

had D3 for 4 years then had RRS TDV8 for a year now got D4 and i think its the best out the 3 by far it really is superb go for it your only here once enjoy it why you can bali blue disco 4 with rear dvd's, privacy glass, pre heat system, heated steering wheel, full size spare, piano black trim, ipod cable, 20 inch wheels and i love it loads more than my TDV8 RRS, KTM 250 EXC 2 Stroke for the real off road stuff

i aint made the transition from d3 to d4. But bought a d4 3.0 gs. As long as you dont want leather or sat nav ur fine. But mine does have bright pack and powerfold mirrors. Which brings up the spec a little. Value for money i dont think u can better em. I paid 31.5k used and its worth every penny Cars:-MY11 Evoque SD4 Pure, MY12 Defender 90 XS & MY08 Evo X RS
