Key left in bonger
is driving me nuts. In my Hilux I was able to unplug a connector behind the lock barrell that did the job with no side effects.
Any thing simple like that for the D3?
Not found it yet. Have you considered that it might be telling you to take the key out?
Seriously though, leaving the key in leaves a LOT of the systems running and the current drain can kill your battery in an hour if it's not in tip-top conditionI know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

I quite agree, but feel that I am able to male my own decisions as to where to leave my keys without being nannied.
It's just a pet hate that's all - paticularly when you are in and out unloading.
