another thought is for DCC to offer a refund against your old D3 grill once a this new one is bought.
That'll keep the cost down as he won't have to buy them 'new'
as said, just a thought. ...... always on the road less travelled 🚧
< ‘tis but a mere scratch …….. it’ll polish out.

if I cock it up Nismo I can put the old one back on
If I sell up in years to come a standard grille probably would be more desirable to a potential buyer. (ican put it back on)
Certain non standard LR mods can put buyers off.

if you keep your old one, when you sell the car you can put it back on and keep the hybrid D3/D4 to put on your newer D3 or sell on if you bought a D4 afterall why buy anything else !!! Richard

Jeeeez, do some of you lot haggle at tesco's?
The fella is trying to run a business, what he charges is up to him.
Don't forget he has other overheads to factor in, not just the cost of materials
I would presume there's business premises, advertising on here, VAT just for starters.
Ultimately, if it's too expensive, don't buy one FFS.
One could always run a vauxhall nova if a D3 is too much for ya!
Rons exchange grille is a decent idea though, works when buying alternators etc.
Apart from that, the rest is drivel. Welcome "Lola"

Blimey, who shops in Tesco's
Lidl or Aldi for me
Seriously, I like the idea of an exchange, buy a 'new' grill, send back the 'old' one and a price to reflect Never get mad - get even !!
06 D3 now gone to family member and still going strong at 265k
previous vehicles:
04 D2 TD5 - (clocked 189k from new)
52 X-Trail 2.2 SVE
various euro boxes !
