Hi, yet another suspension fault, but one I haven’t been able to find on the forum (although there are a lot to go through!)
I bought my D3 2.7 SE in December and as soon as I got it home I noticed the suspension was wonky, no two wheels were the same height. It has now been to 3 LR ‘specialists’ under warranty and I’ve had sensors replaced, software upgraded, but still the height is not uniform. It does seem that the front right wheel is the one that is usually giving less clearance to the rest (and the specialists have been replacing parts in this area.
The car doesn’t show fault lights for the suspension?
I have the option to return the car for a refund as the garage I bought it from think they’ve fixed it (or they’ve given up), but I really like the car and the general condition is fantastic. So hoping someone out there has any ideas before I hand it back?
Many thanks

Hi
I hope this helps, but just went through a 3 week suspension problem myself. My problem was as follow:
The fron right wheel always started to drop, sometimes the right rear would follow, some times all wheels, but the front right always started first.
The solution from the dealer is to start with the front, first they replaced the battery due to low volatge, secondly the upgraded software, thirdly the replaced the airsprings, then the problem kept persisting.
LR technical advised all sorts of test, but due to the lack of error's, they could not diagnose, the recalibrated suspension with no results.
They then replaced the compressor, with no results, they replaced all the pipes, ECU and was still dropping.
And finally, just before I gave up they replaced the front corner valve (valve block), and it's been 2 weeks and running perfectly.
I hope this helps 2007 TDV6 SE auto (ex Write off)

Sorry, had to add that they also replaced height sensors during the 3 week period with no results. I have a brand new suspension now (under warrantee) due to the lack of knowledge by LR 2007 TDV6 SE auto (ex Write off)

Please can you help me with my leaning suspension |

Hi,
I have a similar problem with my Disco 3 td se. The right side is a little lower than the left side. How can this be fixed. Suspension is fine and the dealer says its normal due to the air suspension. I somehow dont believe this after reading your posts

Welcome to the site!
Is the one corner lower while at idle or only once you switch off and let it stand? 2007 TDV6 SE auto (ex Write off)

Hey DJ,
I actually have not noticed (or looked at the height) while engine on.
However it does feel a little lower when I drive.
I booked the car in with LR Sandton. Their tech believes that it probably needs a recalibration. He thinks this may be the case as the car does not lose any pressure over night. Its a constant level (or unequal level)

It could also be a hight sensor. Do you have any errors appearing? 2007 TDV6 SE auto (ex Write off)

None what so ever. I had to replace the rear diff control unit (R3,500) due to suspension going into safe mode and HDC error appearing. Thats now sorted. I will ask them to check out the height sensor as well.
Tell me, is there any other LR speciatist that I can take the car to? LR charge about 530 per hour which is rather steep.
Thanks for the help

Mine is still under Motorplan, but expires now in April. Friends and family service at British 4x4 in PTA and I have a mate from JHB that services his old D2 TD5 and D3 V8 in Roodepoort.
I will post a threat on the Africa forum (scroll down on the forum home page). One of the SA site sponsors Baben is well connected and has the diagnostic tools to fault find your proplems.
Keep an eye on the Africa Forum

Right then, I've paid the local main dealer to perform a diagnostic, unsurprisingly they found no errors, (although they acknowledge that the suspension isn’t right). Therefore they put it in full height suspension mode, removed a relay(?) and left it over night. When they got in this morning it was in the low position. Their conclusion is that there is a leak, but not big enough to create an error message. They recommend we ignore this fault until we get an error message, and that trying to find a leak is a difficult and costly process. Problem being, that I want this sorted under warranty, so can’t wait forever! Also, is it safe for the car to be driven with irregular suspension? Garage said it was. I spoke to a specialist earlier who confirmed that the dealer seemed on the money.
So do I keep it or return it?

That is exactly my D3's story, it took 3 weeks. LR South Africa was unable to rectify and eventually started talking to LR UK.
Start from the problem wheel and work your way in, The airsprings have very few problems, but worth checking, the pipes should be checked and then the valve block. The valve block is prone to both problems (electrical and leak)
There is a little piece of piping running under the engine with an elbow which few dealers look at (difficult to access), mine was leaking there as well and eventually the corner valve (valve block) too. 2007 TDV6 SE auto (ex Write off)
