New Badge Kit
Got my new Black/Silver badge kit last week - thanks TLO.
I have fitted the wheel hubs as these were easy option. Will be waiting for the warmer months to get the hair dryer out for the font/back.
Looking at the 3 interier ones, all have some sort of "dongle" on them.
My existing ones on the doors are black Rubber types with the dongle. I am assuming I have to take the door skin off to fit them thru the small hole
I am also assuming the one for the steering wheel - I just carefully pull off the new one so the metal tabs are in tact and prise off old one - trying not to set the airbag off?
Also last summer I replaced the drivers door electric window switch as 3 out of 4 were knackered. I think in the process I must have dislodged something as now the drivers door handle ( smaller section you push with your thumb) is hanging off yet all the tabs are in tact. I have tried pushing back but no joy so planning to take the skin off again when weather is better.
Also got the new cup holder inserts - small purchase but is brilliant. coffee/coke-can now stay upright. Simpliest things keep me happy.
Also got the newD4 HSE - Aintree Green

The badge on the steering wheel is held on with 'lugs' for a reason......
......if the new badge became 'seperated' in the event of an airbag deployment it would likely go straight through your head and enter your soft, squishy, grey, brainy bit all kept nicely inside......

Many thanks. That's the sort of description I need.
I assumed the ones in the door had the big plastic bits on as per the new ones and would never pull thru.
Also assumed it was a striaght swap like the wheel hubs - Good job I asked
something to do when weather is warmer and can take time over it.D4 HSE - Aintree Green
