I doubt they would as they won't affect air pressure
Keep the windows up is the answer, more economical that way too

We 'discovered' this feature too after 2 weeks. Is this why they call it a Discovery? Laughing

It could be CL, but you guys in the southern hemisphere can really make it earn it name with the areas you have.

I now get this effect at about 70+ with all the windows up - due to the Expedition Roof Rack. The car was quite at those speeds but soon as the roof rack was fitted the noise started. It gets quite oppressive at about 80 and it acts like a extra built in 'driver of speed' warning. It doesn't make a difference lowering any of the windows. It's too noise to maintain driving like that for long.

I am now considering removing the railing from the Roof Rack to lower and change its profile and see if that makes the noise reduce/disappear.

Welcome to the forum!

I've had mine for the grand total of 2 weeks and just crept over the 1,000 mile mark (of which 900 was my wife, unfortunately).

Where about in Ireland are you? We're taking ours over to Mayo next week for the first international jaunt and a trip to various distant relatives
