Anyone put the later gearbox in a D3?
They seam much cheaper and lower Milage

Could I use the old selector cable on to the side of the gearbox ?

Can bus issues Rolling Eyes

Yes, D4 6HP will fit, but mechatronic needs swapped

2005 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE Auto Tonga GreenDiscovery 3

Just done a search and this popped up. I am basically sorting a disco 4 with snapped crank and have the chance to buy a cheap 3.0 sport. My question is, can I use the gearbox from the sport, 6 speed, and swap the mechatronics over from my old box? Makes the purchase more appealing as it would sort my d3 and also the d4 in one swoop!
