Hello Kevin.
I'm looking for a car under £15k and if you can not afford the mods then do not do them - it might look sad. I prefer the standard car myself. You will get more for a trade in when you come to sell it in standard condition.
When I had a company car (Mondeo) my friend had another Mondeo but his was lowered and had spotlights and a silver exhaust, my company got £1500 more for it when sold than he did! His car was a year older and a different specification though. I'm looking now and I have walked away from 'pimped' cars to be honestly.
My view is that a Discovery 3 is very pretty and it does not need these silly Halford modifications.
Please do not get lights fitted underneath - the streets of Stoke are full of boy racers zooming around with there bass music!!! You'll not be welcome down my road if you do.

I fitted front and rear light guards to mine - not to everyones taste and I know they aren't that great at "guarding" but I like the look of them, and I picked the fronts up for £50 on here and the rears for £70 on ebay. an hour to fit both ends and quite tasty looking I think!2014 D4 XS

Depends on your budget, but how about upgrading:
Head light bulbs £30 / £40?
Rear window tints £250?
Aluminium centre section on the front grill £80?
New style cup holder inserts £20?
Dash fascia trim (around the stereo / air vents - repaint) £60?
Just some ideas...

I think this is going away from the questions now.
If I wanted smut I would have joined elsewhere. My wife has been looking at these posts and has now stormed off next door.

Bl**dy Hell Derek where have you been - find Wiggs's fakra thread and follow the links - I paid about a tenner for the cables (good job I wasn't charging my day rate to myself for the soldering and dash disassembly work mind) and just over thirty quid for a 12v digital TV receiver unit (off eblag) stuffed down the back of the drivers seat - can't be arsed making it pretty but it does the job IF I can get a signal with the aerial stuck out the window Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)
