As i arrived at work this morning, i parked the Disco and toddled off inside. A few mins later a colleague said, nice car but you have a puncture. I thought he was winding me up but when i went outside, i saw that i did have a flat rear nearside tyre. I was then shocked to see a thick piece of headlight glass sticking out from the point where the tread meets the wall.
I knew straight away that the tyre was unrepairable and set about sourcing a new one. I must admit, i didnt think that i would be replacing tyres 2,000 miles in.
I felt a jerk but phoned Landrover Assistance and they appeared withing 25 mins and changed it for the spare. Top marks to them as they were very prompt. I explained that i felt a bit silly phoning them but he said, no probs, thats what we are here for.
A local tyre dealer sourced a new one and a couple of hours later, i had it fitted and that is now my spare wheel.
I was a bit shocked though to find that i was getting quotes over £200 for a Pirelli Scorpion.
Hopefully, that will be the last for a while (touch wood).

ProTyre (Bristol) quote for Pirelli Scorpion Zero 255/55/19 V rated fully fitted etc. £140 inc. of VAT.
A friend just saved over £200 by buying 4 tyres for his M3 from them. They are a Pirelli Performance Centre & have various branches.
