Worn Front Tyre

Just checked SWMBO tyres to find that the inside edge of the drivers side front tyre is BALD Confused

Initial thoughts was tracking but the other front tyre is wearing evenly !

However SWMBO has told me that she regularly has to top up the air in the wearing tyre. Would this be causing wear to inside edge or could it something else ?

If i want to get tracking checked, can any tyre garage do this or is it something a dealer needs to look at ?
Bushees ? track Rod ends ? etc

Only 2k until i get TFC out for 60k service, can it wait till then ?

Had this with mine. Laser tracking check and adjustment sorted it out. Just do a google and you'll find plenty of tyre fitting places do this, and it's not very expensive.

Do you get any knocking through the steering at all, as it coiuld be the ARB bushes worn and causing it to be out of alignment.

You also need to go to a garage that can put the D3 into Tight Tolerance Mode in order for the alignment to be done correctly. Or got to a dealer to enable it and drive slowly to the alignment place to get it done.

I suspect if you speak to TFC, that he'd be able to advise on what he thinks should be done, seeing as you've got your service coming up. you coiuld always pull the service forward if TFC can fit you in Thumbs Up
