Ahh, now that's a different problem Phil. Ours just says suspension fault, and locks in normal height. Your problem is likely to be related to the brake light bulbs problem, or the brake light switch. I've had that one too! D3 TDV6 HSE 2008 Buckingham Blue (current)

Now you've confused me, which isn't too difficult.
Surely with the suspension going down, progs knocked off, it must be a suspension fault ??
I think I may have had a new brake light fitted at mylast service. What is brake light bulb prob ??
Cheers
Phil

I know! It seems ridiculous, but the symptoms you are experiencing, can be seen as the result of about 3 or 4 different faults. The most common one though seems to be the brake light problem, where the bulb filaments short out and cause this fault. For me though, it was the brake light switch on the pedal. I cleaned it up, and haven't had a problem since. Search for "brake light bulbs" or "brake light switch". There are loads of threads about it and loads of helpful info. They certainly helped me get to the bottom of the problem, and many others besides. I'll try and find a few of the threads I posted on. D3 TDV6 HSE 2008 Buckingham Blue (current)

I tried them to rule it out, but then I later found it to be the brake light switch D3 TDV6 HSE 2008 Buckingham Blue (current)

I'll give both a bash, taking it to a dealer was really my last option.
I suspect it'll be the bulb as I had a service and MOT, which included a replaced bulb, that was a month back and it started 2 weeks ago
Cheers

Ours has worked fine ever since it just started working, and had no problems since. The only thing I have noticed is that compared to other compressors ours is fairly loud you definitely know when its working. Is that common?

Managed to pick up a used compressor and replaced mine a couple of days ago. I haven't had the fault since, so that's good news.
It was a reasonably easy job to do, but one of the pipes was seized in, and I had to cut it. Fortunately the pipe was long enough, and I was able to re use the pipe insert and plug it back into the new compressor. All's good now D3 TDV6 HSE 2008 Buckingham Blue (current)
