Fabricating a war service with special forces medals just to impress etc. The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom

Not very clever, agreed - but 60 hours community service - FFS!
That what first offence muggers and burglars get if they have a suitable social report
Strange world we live in!

Must be pretty sad to make that kind of thing up. There are those that hero worship those who've done brave deeds for their country (or adopted country). Imagine how a child would feel to learn that their faith had been misplaced.
Personally I think it's pretty low to pretend you've performed all kinds of acts of bravery, been recognised officially for acts when you've done no such thing. It kicks those who have performed such duties in the face, belittles their efforts and their awards. Speaks volumes about the state of mind of some folks as well.I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.
I'm sure nobody on here would make up an extended forces record............The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom

Hes been in the local paper before.
Something about being thrown out of the Legion club in a local village for all the bull SAS stories.
Some occured when he would have been 5 years old!!!
Sad really - needs help. All things shipping, storage, transport. UK and worldwide.
I'm sure you're right - TFC really DID wire in all those doorbells in the officers married quarters. I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Such a sad thing to happen. Is/was his life so empty that he had to resort to this. As has been said it belittles alll the good deeds done by the Armed Forces.
Rather than community service he should be made to sell HFH products under the supervision of others.HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE

I got only 3 medals Neil, and ALL my Grandads to which I am allowed to Parade on the opposite side to mine.
Saw it a while back in the News, each to their own, he obviously had a reason but the punishment should also have been doing his community service in a Garrison Town......the jibs and ridicule would make him see sense.

3 medals or 10 medals. If they are yours then all well and good. If you wear any that haven't been earnt by yourself or father/grandfather then you deserve the shame that gets thrown your wayHONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE
