Land Rovers are great

Just read this in the motors section of my local rag "The Ardrossan and Saltcoats Herald"

"I've been speaking to various 4x4 owners during the recent cold spell and it has been interesting to note the different degree of ability from different vehicles.
Many of the'lifestyle' oriented 4x4's run on ultra low profile tyres which are far from ideal in the snow and the lack of a low ratio gearbox when the going gets really tough.
But one brand always seems to keep on going when others stop-Land Rover.
Whether its a Range Rover Sport pulling a sunken trailer from sinking sands or a Discovery not breaking a sweat climbing hills defeated by lesser machines,
it's Land Rover thats kept Britain Moving."

Doesn't it make you all warm and fuzzy inside Mr. Green

There is only one thing better than having a Land Rover in the family, and that is having two!

Is it normal as a (soon to be) new owner to have an urge to buy a big rope and drive around humming the Thunderbirds theme music?

Yes, that is perfectly normal behaviour.

First reaction to snow in our household is to ensure there is rope, a shovel and some sacks in the back of both trucks

The sacks are to place under wheels for traction, usually to get someone else moving if it's not possible or practicle to get a rope attached
