Belgium 2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE Manual Chawton WhiteDiscovery 3
Very noisy park brake and possible cause

I had a call with one of the Belgian LR inspectors regarding the screaming park brake.
First thing he asked me was if I played in the mud.
So yas, that occured already.
His answer: "Well in that case, it might be the park brake just needs some adjustment. If you look in your manual you will find that wen off-roading the park brake needs to be reajusted every 80 km" Shocked

So I started laughing and said "Is this an offroader ???"

He said this is the benefit of advanced technology Confused
Apparently they do this on the LR Experience LR's after every day they drove...

I wonder how theydo it at the G4.... Rolling Eyes

Any one a plan/drawing so I can do this myself?

There is a note in the service book that states that the park brake needs additional service if used in off road conditions.

I think it just means at the normal 15k service they will strip and check the system (and charge you extra) if you tell them you have been off-road.
