LR Side Protection Bars

Does anyone know if the LR bars are sturdy enough to use as rock-sliders?

Has anyone seen them, would they reduce your clearance at all?

Thx,

More of a "rock feeler". I don't think the.. , wait I know the tubing is to thin to support the weight. They reduce clearance a bit as well, both vertical and laterally. They came with the car, I use them as feelers to avoid crushing the body, touch them up w' satin black. But they sure do look cool!

My gallery has photos of the bars showing how thin the metal is. One has also been bent up on its brackets to the sill but has protected the sill. They make virtually no difference to clearance in reality.
