Hi wiggs,
Same thing has happened to mine a few times on 50 60 plus mph, NO glass roof, slow down works perfic,
I am sure it is some sort of sensor or resistor that thinks your finger or nose Laughing is stuck in the window
the wind is giving off the same effect, it is made to stop for let's say a childs finger prob a bit over
sensitive.
Come on wiggs try harder, I'm sure you can find a Fix for that Whistle Thumbs Up

Mine has a RAI, but no glass roof.

No problems as you described. But then again, I'm not a smoker. Very Happy

Had this too, they replaced the window guide rubber and all was fine.
But has come back Big Cry Now having read that others are having the
same problem got me thinking Idea I know that the passenger side
does not do it, so I dropped both windows about 100 mm and checked
for any play in the guides, yep, drivers side has more. Then played
with up and down movement and found that the glass would not follow
the guide in front, as it would only slot in when the glass was pushed
back by the rubber guide when nearly closed. Thus my finger is pointing
to the front guide rubber in the door, just the last section before the
window closes. On another side I do use the drivers window a lot as I'm
more off road that on tarmac. A camera becomes a instrument of pain
