06 Model

Noticed the 'Build your own Land Rover' site is now showing the 06 model Disco3, though the main UK site hasn't been updated yet

Main difference I noticed is the Bright Pack is now standard on the S but Bi-Xenon headlamps aren't and and a full size alloy spare is now an option rather than standard on all but the HSE

The HSE price is now £43495 - an increase of £1500.

It includes Phone integration, and there are some trim changes, but its difficult to get the details. Will be interesting to see what they are !

New Documents

Hi
Noticed that the 2006 model year owners manuals have started to appear on the GTR site. One thing of note is that from 2006, PTi seems to be included with the HSE spec vehicles so there is now one navigation/phone manual.

It alos looks like some new accessories will become available - fitting instructions have been posted for 'Mirror Caps' whatever they are. A bit of 'chrome bling' maybe ?? so perhaps an opportunity for BN to show how he can save money getting the same effect with kitchen foil and flour paste glue... Very Happy

Also, on the technical site there are some very interesting service notices - take a look.

You dont have to pay for owners manuals - just access to technical / service information, which is the case for most products really.

Grommet - thanks. Discovered what was wrong- screen set to 800x640 & the bottom part of the site was not therefore visible, including the Continue button!! Very useful once registered even if the password e-mail from LR said "The Owner Info website is intended to support trained technicians with detailed service and repair information." Oh well accurancy doesn;t seem to be their strong point! Wink

One plus for me and other Mac users...

I complained as the GTR site was very crap in Safari and in Explorer on the Mac.

They listened... they emailed me to try things... the asked what version of Java I used etc etc

Then I was told a few weeks ago that the site will be upgraded Monday this week for Mac users.

And guess what ???

It now works great in Safari running on OS X 10.4.1 Smile
