It only runs with a running engine. And it will also only start if you have not pushed the ECON button before engine start or the system switched OFF completely.
But once the engine is running and you unselect ECON it should start heating until the coolant has reached around 75.
Anyone got any more info. on what (if anything) the ECON button has to do with the FBH ?

I tested it at my car a couple of weeks ago.
With "econ" button active, so switch of the ac, the FBH starts with timer/gsm and during a drive.
With "econ" button passive, so with ac on, exactly the same! Makes no different regarding function FBH.
On the other hand, there are cars where the fuse trick is also not working...... I guess that this has something to do with each other.Discovery 3 TDV6 HSE java black (in Europe)

I love the smell of FBH in the morning... The smell, you know that gasoline smell... Smells like...victory!

So, new (to me) MY07 D3, wasn't convinced FBH was firing at all, so went to pull CB28, and lo and behold it isn't there? Vacant..? Would there be a valid reason for it not being present (apart from it having fallen out..!). I'm guessing that would be my first port of call...track down a circuit breaker!

I don't know why, but I'm not holding out much hope. Struggling to understand why it would be missing in first place unless previous owner knew it would perhaps mask an issue? As you can tell, I'm an eternal optimist...

Some owners have removed them through nothing more than ignorance.
This could be a really cheap fix!
