Not quite right here Martin. The forum front page shows posts up to around that time for each subsection of the forum, but when you click into that forum section, the most recent is around lunchtime.
For example: On the home page the most recent post in "Off Topic - Humour, rants and pointless posts" is attributed to NeilD @ 7:49pm, but when you go into that section the most recent post is from mzclpg @ 11:18am I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Dear all,
First off, my apologies for the sites having been offline/unusable since approximately 5.30pm GMT on Thursday.
The sites were unavailable for approximately 2 hours since there was a major power failure at the Coreix datacentre facility in East London, whereby grid power was lost, but the backup generators did not kick in once the battery backup supplies were exhausted. This complete loss of power knocked a large number of servers from lots of different web hosting providers, and hence caused the loss of many sites, not just DISCO3.
The sudden shutdown of the DISCO3/4 server caused some corruption to the site database, when the sites originally came back at 7.30pm GMT there were problems reading some forum topics. I thought I had fixed this by 8.15pm GMT, but the database errors returned and meant that no text was being saved for new or edited posts.
DISCO3 was therefore taken offline by me at 10.00pm GMT to rebuild the databases. At this time the entire DISCO3/4 server was redirected to a maintenance page, and then to the Freel2.com refuge thread to reduce the server load and database usage.
Originally it was thought that we might lose all data posted on the site since early on Thursday morning when the backup is taken, but it was eventually possible to restore the database to the state it was in at 8.51pm GMT on Thursday. The information relating to 73 forum posts made between then and 10.00pm GMT was lost, but no post data had originally been saved in the broken database for these posts.
The database was partially rebuilt offline, repaired and checked for errors before the server redirect was removed and the sites reactivated at just after 1am GMT on Friday morning.
I'm sorry for the outage and the loss of a correctly operating site for 7 and a half hours, however this was completely outside my control, and fortunately it was possible to restore the vast majority of the site data.
Please report any problems you come across with missing posts, PMs, etc here and I will check them ASAP.
Night!

Further to my previous post, I clicked through my own profile to my own posts and was able to find, access and reply to a thread in OT - HRAPP that didn't appear in that section when you clicked through from the home page, nor in the search last 24 hours results. I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

The reason they are missing is that those threads had one of the missing 73 posts in, I will find a way to fix 06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti

Thank you for all the effort, maintenance, lack of sleep and the headaches you must have that you put into the site.
