Hi, had the D3 now for a couple of weeks. i have an air bag warning light.... Is this a common problem on the Disco and easy to fix, does it need Land Rover attention or can a normal garage cover it and sort....
Any help appreciated.

Had my 2006 a few months and mine came on the other day, left it off a few hours started it again, and it had gone out on its own, but apparently there is a plug under drivers seat that can dislodge when you move the seat about, you'll find out if you search on here enough.
I would check you tail gate strut mounts also where the damper connects to the body, mine had just about fallen out when i read about it on here

I had a fault with the airbag light a couple of months ago. Had to get the rotary coupler replaced in the steering wheel. Was quoted £380 As you slide down the banister of life

There were some TSB's for a rotary coupling/clockspring modification on earlier ones - get the dealers to check your Disco doesn't need it - it could just be a loose connection under the driverseat - find the yellow cable in corrogated sheathing running from the back of the seat into the multiplug connection box under the seat and gentle wiggle it about a bit at the back of the connection box. But do this with the car asleep i.e. swicth off engine, remove key and leave alone for 5 minutes before going back to it and playing with the cables.
I normally have that on SWMBO's D3 when we've swapped over - she's 5ft and I'm 6ft3" so the seat gets moved alot and we find this connector sometimes plays up
If it don't clear - take it to the stealers or an indy with IDS/Faultmate/Autologic to check the error logs, LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.

Is it always on? Has anyone switched the passenger airbag off with the key? (look at the passenger side side of the dashboard with the passenger side door open for the location of switch.)

Hi, it came on randomly after a couple of weeks of owning. Nobody dare touch anything technical.... Thanks for your thoughts. (May just check anyway in case she got clever on me!)

As Ave said, it'll be the Rotary Coupling.
Had the same with mine.
A very expensive job for getting rid of a light on in the dash!

Hopefully it will be the plug under the seat, if not hopefully covered by the warranty i took out when bought!
