License Plate LED Bulb Replacement
Has anyone found or installed LED bulbs for their license plate lights? I know Lexus uses them, but not sure if there are rover-friendly bulbs to use. I think with the new LED bulbs throughout the car, the regular halogen license bulbs stand out more. I am stateside here so any websites ect that may be beneficial let me know!

Hi stateside
I changed mine for the same led bulbs that replace the front sidelights and also the interior lights.
A small tower bulb with 13 LEDs on each bulb

And I have, they look great, and they only take 5 mins to change.Land Rover Dicovery 3. 5 Seats.
With side Steps, And rubber floor mats and rubber load space cover.
Front and Rear Mud Flaps.

I had mine from Ultra Leds Ltd,
Stop and tail Red Ref No U38035R(380)35
I never put it in my other post, I also had the stop and tail bulbs, and they look even better.
And there is 10% discount if you tell them you belong to disco3.Land Rover Dicovery 3. 5 Seats.

I went LED mad and replaced them all apart from indicator bulbs/ main beams - all from Ultra Led - that was over 2 yaers ago and still all OK

I've got some led indicator bulbs with resistors if you want them
only for the rears though

Was oustide my work on an old E class today - certainly gets you noticed - but maybe not in the right way - wonder if Plod is OK with them

the resistors are connected to the wires via a push through connector[cant remember the name of them]
full wiring instructions are provided but if i can do it then anyone can.its only 2 wires
as for the led reg lights try boltonbits.com

That plate is in no way legal and you could end up with a 60 pound fine for each one.(front and rear)350miles and cant wait to do more.

the led sides and reg lights don't show warnings at all.the only ones that do anything are the indicator led's
they make the dash indicator bulb flash very fast(as if there is a light out)that is why a resistor is added across the indicator circuit to fool the system
I even had to add the resistor when fitting my d4 rear lights to my d3
not a hard job to do and well worth it
