A whole '4 degrees'
Boy, you Midlanders have nearly got it as good as your Southern neighbours.
Was 'minus 1 degree' when I left 'oop north' this morning ... and yep, it bonged [but somehow I knew it was cold]
just waiting on DSL coming along and telling us it was 'minus 20' in the Heelands

Soo true ronp - a southern softie me.
My father lives in northern Oslo and he wets himself each time we have 4mm of snow and the country grinds to a halt.
His coldest temp last year was -26 deg.
Now thats a smidge chilly! All things shipping, storage, transport. UK and worldwide.
I saw -2deg on over a month ago (7th October) on road between me and DSL.......
Southern softies........ The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom

Yep, always my first thought too! Followed by a sigh of relief I'm not so good at giving advice...may I offer you a sarcastic comment instead?

It would have been nice if they had made it a little snowflakey sound...like a sweet tinker bell rather than the dreaded BONG.I'm not so good at giving advice...may I offer you a sarcastic comment instead?

Can't have been that slippery JMC - not if you can undertake flash photography, one handed, at 60mph, at night...
