Hi, I'm looking to purchase a new mobile and I would like to know which phone and cradle to buy. I would like to know which one integrates with the cars phone system without any hitches.
I'm currently on Orange and would like to stay with them, I also have a load of contacts so I need a phone which holds a load of numbers.
Your assistance please! Standing on the shoulders of Giants.

Leigh - do you have PTI ??? - if so consider just using a bluetooth phone and setting up your contacts via voice control - saves a lot of faffing and costs less than buying a cradle too 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

I think that some have had success with the nokia cradles and 6230 - if you use the search icon there are numerous threads on the subject that will assist you 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

If you keep an eye on ebay, new or relatively new cradles do come up now and then - I just managed to get a 2 month old cradle 3 for £45 inc postage Tested it with a friends NOKIA 6100 and it worked fine. Now I'm looking on ebay for a compatible phone (all NOKIA - 3100, 6100, 6220, 6230 or 6820). I believe their is also a cradle 9 that a SE T610 works with. 1996 Discovery 1 300TDI ES Biarritz Blue, sold

I have a 6230 and bought a cradle off a guy on RRS forum for £40 it works fine. That said sometimes landlines complain of hearing themselves, but I think that turning the volume down stops this. I too wanted the intergration so you can use the radio keypad and charge the phone at the same time etc. The dealerfit system is bluetooth only and reported to be very poor for the money. The dealer fit system should work with a cradle, the one I fitted has got the cable to connect to a cradle though as I haven't actually got a cradle I can't test it. Bluetooth works fine on it
I don't think you'll get as much integration with the infotainment system as you do on the factory fit version but I would have thought that some of the functionality that you get over bluetooth should be there The End
