Hey guys don't normally post much but had a nosy at the new discovery 4 today. My my the interior dashboard with less buttons mmm.
Personally I dont like the dash with less buttons, it just looks so plain the older disco 3 is miles better. Whats happening with the lexus style lights on the rear thats a poor bling thing going on which was out of date 9 years ago. Looks too much boy racer type.
Not to forget the D3 looks more chisel like compared to the D4 which looks as though its wearing some slap
Is it just me thinking this or does anyone think the same?
Id rather hold onto my current disco and wait for the next shape change whenever it comes

Unnecessary quote removed
No, that's true I ain't test driven one yet But I do know the drive will be exceptionally good considering it's a 3.0 Litre. I ain't trying to slate the disco 4 just think some touches could have been more thought off
Don't get me wrong it's nice to see disco 4s on the road I still get excited but just sharing my thoughts mate

No worries Khauff - I wasn't having a go. Its just that to me its all about how a car drives, behaves, performs and what it does. The look and styling is below those in my list of selection criteria. Disco 4 TDV6HSE

Well I tried it and absolutely loved it. I still think the D3 is fantastic though and being a petrolhead the lack of a V8 option for the D4 is rather irksome.
Regarding the buttons though, at least the D4 doesn't look as if someone loaded a large box of the things into a rocket launcher and then fired it in the approximate direction of the dash
Also, being a toys lover, the HSE at 48 grand is too close to FFRR territory for me. I reckon I would go down the FFRR route for a bit extra, particularly when I look at the TDV8 option. Maybe when they're a couple of years old the prices might come down, but then again, not if D3 residuals are anything to go by.
