Top Speed?

The brochure has the 3.0 top speed listed as 115 (ish)

Why is this so low compared with the competition which are all into the 130's Question

I'll be trying this out on the autobahn next year - but currently puzzled

The D4 feels so much faster than the D3, I'm sure that if it was de-limited it would do a lot more than the 112mph max

So far its been hard to keep the car below 70mph on the motorway.

Usually the cruising speed creeps up to around 85 ish Whistle , with only the slightest pressure on the throttle, before you realise how fast you are going.

If you put your foot down @ 85 it pulls away like mad Smile

phew Very Happy

I'm used to doing the autobahn runs, and cruising at 100 is about my limit, with one eye firmly on the rear view mirror looking for the missiles coming at you at 130+. It makes for good lane discipline Thumbs Up

I was just concerned that 100 might me getting a bit wheezy for the Disco, especially on up hill stretches, and especially as our group includes an X3 (I don't want to end up Embarassed )

Started having a look at the previous 'de-limiter' thread Shocked Apologies for bringing up the subject Whistle

130mph top speed for the X3 3.0d but ISTR that the sporty-pack versions are a little bit higher....

As Ken says.....one of these will leave you for dead Embarassed
