Brilliant, just tried it on mine and works fine, now just need to find a way of making this change permanent.

Hi
I'm new to Land Rover world... I just bought a used LR3 yesterday and am just reading up on various info on the web. Could any one of you explain to me what this Nav hack is all about? Thank you very much in advance.

With this PIN code, you temporarily disable the safety lockouts of the Navigation system.

Many features of the Navigation system are disabled while moving for safety purposes. For example, you can't enter a new address via touchscreen keyboard. Some of the locked out features make sense... you really can't enter a full address by hand while driving safely, etc. But some of them are dumb.

The worst part of the lockout is if I have a passenger. They should be able to use the system fully. With this diag PIN code, they now can.

Ok... I stand corrected, I guess... ;)

It did work today in mine with the latest software corrections... Wink

Really useful... Now, if someone could find how to make it permanent... Wink

went to London today

Tried mine today. We went to London today and it worked. It was really good being able to set new destinations on the move.
By the way, to those members with voice recognition, can you set a new destination whilst on the move?

It's limited. You can select a previously stored voice nametag for a destination (memory point), the last destination, the starting point or "home." The manual shows what you can do via voice.
