Exterior Liftgate Trim Removal
Hi everyone,
I want to remove the exterior liftgate trim. I have removed the 4 torx screws & can see the remainder is held on by clips.
I am not sure if I am not being strong enough or brave enough to get the trim off.
Has anyone actually done this before & can give some pointers ?
Thanks heaps,
Ian

there are three or four nuts you need to remove as well which are behind the full width internal trim on the upper tailgate,
which does just pull off after you fave removed the screw which is located in the inside handle. once you have removed the external handle then don't shut the tailgate though as you won't be able to open it again after you have and theeeeennn......???

Eaxactly as BM says, remebering too the little bit of trim that goes around the catch, that will continue to hold the interior trim on unless this is removed carefully.
Once the trim and interior panel is off its a simple unbolt procedure, NO cables except electrical connector to undo and thats a simple multiblock that comes apart.

Don't forget, if you undo the multiblock, make sure you connect it again BEFORE you shut the tail gate otherwise things start to get interesting Welcome "Lola"
