James,
Don't mind what the other say. They are nice pics. A nice drive through the woods can be nice without the need to wash the car.
I wanted to put some pictures here I took in Croatia. But I am on a slow internet line so I can't get the pictures in my gallery. It was half a days drive around a lake on tracks like that and the whole family loved it. So you don't have to go "proper" off-road to have fun. Roel

Micro - where abouts in Darrrrrrrrrwen are you? Have you ever been for a play near the water tower near The Crown and Thistle on the Roman Road? See various modified bits and bobs, and bikes up there now and then - wondered what the crack was?

The "water tower" is actually a vent hole for the sough railway tunnel. Yes I've been up there, it's called grime hills and has been used for tank testing and allsorts over the years. I've set up trials on there for Red Rose Land Rover Club and had some very good laughs. Bloke that owns it now owns IGW garage in Bolton, it used to be a bloke called Steady Eddie (due to alcohol intake I think) but he is no longer with us. I'm not far from there really, my house is 0.6 mile from the A666 (Bolton Road) up Bury Fold Lane. Easiest way is A666 through from Bolton.
Regarding other posts about just having a pleasant drive, sometimes there is great satisfaction knowing that you can drive where all of the repmobiles around you can't! Honestly Marge, I wouldn't have done it if I thought you would find out!
