Sat Nav space ?? Double DIN slot?? |
|
Hi
I have always wondered whether the empty sat nav space is a double DIN slot or not..... does anyone know??
If it is.....there are so many option for it..... just think Double DIN touch screen hooked up to a MacMini or MiniPC with Sat nav, reversing camera, DVD, TV tuner , Console, WiFi internet, kitchen sink etc.....
Thinking of fitting some sort of multimedia to my D3 in the near future, anyone with similar ideas?
Thanks

It isn't quite double DIN, although you can squeeze in a DD screen with a bit of tinkering!

Can you supply adaptors for this? Also - what size of screen is required to fill that space?
Finally - I'd like to make my touch screen look as "factory" as possible - I don't want to be able to see all the monitor control gubbins around the screen - can you suggest any solutions for this?
Thanks!

Hi
We don't off this as a kit but can certainly make something custom for you. Probably best to email me with a wish list and I'll see what I can do!
Cheers

It would be good to find out more..Spoke to you guys at prestige about replacing the base radio with a double dinn and was told about the issue with the vehicle not being able to start..It would be good to know if anyone had any success with removing the base radio..its a pitty the Nav space dosen't have the depth for it..But any news on fitting a double dinn where the base radio is?? Have you done this before??
