The question is - why do I like Spain...?

Is it the Barcelona Ramblas, architecture or port area with lots to see and good places to eat ?

Or the fact there is music every where (this band was actually very good - we bought a couple of CD's)

Or is it because at night you can go to beach-side bars (at the bottom of the village of Vilassar de Mar where the in-laws have their place)?

Actually - I think its because you can meet fellow D3 owners (PaulP)...!

And some of the roads are more fun to drive (this one is even marked on the LR satnav Thumbs Up )...!

This is the idea of a traffic jam...!

Short cuts are good fun and picturesque (Montseny Parc)...!

You can get to some great views (looking out from Turo de l'Home)

Wonderful evenings and sunsets...!

The camping is great...!

And its always good to do it in a D3...! Whistle Laughing

(And now back to reality...holiday over...)
The next American ex-pat that calls it a "truck" is going to find out what 2.7 tons feels like on their foot...

Club "yes, I too have had the EGR's replaced..."
Club "yes, I too have had the compressor replaced..."
Club "yes, I too once had the car at the dealer for a couple of weeks nearly 4 weeks over 4 weeks...5 weeks"
Club "yes, I too have had EPB failure..."
Club "yes, I too get mysterious bings and bongs..."

Some good photos - I have similar photos and recollections (apart from a PaulP meet up) of my trip in August - seems like an age ago now Big Cry

And yes the LR Sat Nav has surprisingly good coverage of 'dirt tracks in the mountains' Thumbs Up

Looking at doing this trip next summer. Possibly drive down and get the boat over to Ibiza for a week or so, but take our time on the way down and on the way home.

Good pics Thumbs Up
