Anyone had any thoughts as to the MPG of the Diesel V8? Will it be that much better than the petrol?

I doubt that it will be worse than the Diesel V6 in the real world even though the official combined will be c3mpg off the V6.

2.7 /6 * 8 yes I know its not done like that but a 3.6 V8 Bi turbo oil burner thats

Could even have better mpg than the TDV6, as it will have less work to do, particulary when cruising. Depends on gear ratio's as well.
My 542 bhp, 5.7litre, Supercharged V8 engined HSV, had a very tall 6th gear. At 75 mph it was doing c.1800rpm & would return over 30mpg!
