Good point DG. I will be driving one back from Scotland to the South Coast in two weeks so will report on that, also it will be a vehicle that has done several 1000 miles so hopefully loosened up a bit.
Andrew, I look forward to your report on a mapped D4 with Alisport intercooler! If the D3 with mods is the same-ish as the D4 then a modified D4 should be interesting... Getting close to the TDV8??

Have not had a chance to pop a No.6 self tapper into a new dash yet as only allowed double sided tape, velcro and gaffer on the press vehicles Sad As Andrew say's though, it won't be a problem. 2nd battery is the current problem for those that mod...
Off Roading is OK.... But I'd rather be Boating!

I then took out the D4 - same great engine and if you are patient in the corners, it goes around them well. I was really impressed with the speed, when I floored it, the car quickly achieved 70mph, it was rapid and quiet too, much more refined than the D3.

Ditto. Just took one out for a spin - dual carriageway overtaking was awesome, 65 to oops-hope-there's-no-cameras in instant, and without a downshift that I noticed. Fast bends were also, well, fast, unlike the D3! Interest free for two years, combined with a p-x that'll cover the deposit... very tempted.

Only problem I face is I want XS toys, but all the family really detest the leather seats...

Haha... yeah no worries. You did write it a couple of days before. Incidentally, I was in last Friday just to have a look, and they had an HSE demo on trade plates. Hence the reason I was lulled in to buying one on the spot pretty much.

Like I said in another thread, the blue wouldn't have been my first choice, but it is a grower. The red cluster against the blue isn't the best combo, but hey, the red will clash against everything (other than red obviously).

I thought the ride was fine by the way - more assertive and pointed than the D3 by a country mile. It went pretty much where I pointed it, whereas the D3 handles like a bouncy castle on wheels.

Cannae wait to get my hands on the Censored now!!

Well, it's not so snug and warm now as it's sitting outside with the new plates on. Hope the sun roof doesn't leak like....... Whistle
