Front Fog Lights

First time on this forum so please go easy with me. I am in the process of purchasing a new D3 5seat base model, which does not come with front fog lights. Had to start somewhere, and cash is tight. I have access to a new set of genuine LR front fog lights for the Disco 3. Question is, is there a pop out in the front bumper to retro fit these and is it like the Disco 2 where the wiring is already in place. Thanks in advance.

I have a entry level 7 seater and there is definitely no pop out in the front bumper, can't say whether the wiring is there...Probably Wink

Personally I also wanted fogs on my first S which I paid extra as they were in the bright pack on an 05'. Having had xenons and fogs I never use them, you would possibly be better off saving for xenon headlight units, as they are easy to retrofit, or spec from new.

Otherwise you could fit the LR additional spots on the grill or the A-bar and point them to suit.

you would have to cut holes in the plastic bumpers or buy replacments.
Either way a bit risky

Thanks for the info, wont be getting fogs then, but to be realistic only used them a couple of times on the Discovery 2. It was just a thought as they were brand new and cheap.

front fogs

HI mate

Sorry about the reply

You will find that the front bumper is a one piece item. However if look behind the wheel arch cover or take an headlight out you will see there are mounting brackets allready fitted to the bumper. There are two electrical plugs behind the light but i dont know if they are for the spots. I contacted my dealer soon after purchase of my vehicle to see if they can be fitted as a after market accessory and was told no. they were available to buy for around £320 including the switch which i believe as about £50
