I would argue that this is incorrect especially from a quality tyre manufacturer.
Grabber = Continetal

a "2mm variance on tread width" ??????

There should be a LR part number and possibly LR logo on one of the inner spokes.

Not tread "width", but tyre wall profile

Now I'm really confused Confused
If it's the sidewall that's rubbing, the overall tyre wall shouldn't make any difference.
For example I'm now running a higher sidewall profile - 50 versus 45 and that has no bearing on rubbing the upright.

Have I picked this up wrong???

Just found the et offset is the same (53mm) for both Stormers and Supercharged V spokes... so that's not it!

sorry Ron, when I said "wall profile" I meant "wall cross section"

I know the term profile means something different in the world of tyres. my bad. wasn't thinking

Basically the "bulge" on the inner tyre wall is fouling the joint where the upper wishbone meets the upright.

It's all a bit puzzling

wheel bearings sagging maybe? but the cars only done 38k

The more I think about it..the more I suspect these wheels (for one reason or another) do not have the same offset as other v spoke alloys.... looking at Ron's pic my alloys were far tighter against the upright, leaving much less room for the tyres "bulge" to clear the joint.

I've been told they are Ken, but need to look for some kind of LR identification

I cannot find anyone on the net who do copy's of the v spokes
