So its my turn now.
Intermittent EPB squealing when hand brake applied together with Red flashing light on dashboard –no orange light though
Also been experiencing low speed squeaking from brakes
I had the front and rear pads replaced a couple of weeks ago (not by LR – way too expensive) could this have caused the Squeal
What is the latest officially from LR on this – is it covered under warranty or not

first i'd go back to your friend and have him take another look, might just need some adjustment
then i'd ring your stealer if still under warranty - it should be covered. A happy childhood ... is the worst possible preparation for life.

The Disco is two and a half years old, went back in for the park sensor fault, a new one at the front was colour coded, replaced and we were back on the road in 90mins.
The dealeris LR in Settle

Well she's booked in for the EPB "de-squealing" on Friday - but have been warned by the dealer that it probably won't be covered under the warranty
If its a faulty actuator module it will be covered, but anything else and its tough luck
So far as I can make out, apparantly its referred to as a service item - but as far as I can tell, its a USER service item and as such isn't taken care of at the A or B services.
I'm stuggling to get my head around that one - its encumbant on the User to wip the wheels and brakes off to clean out the buisness end of the EPB - this surely raises safety issues.
Has anyone been charged to correct a squealing EPB and successfully challenged it
Have there been any TSBs raised on the issue
Cheers
