My EPB didn't squeal, but at my last service the dealer said that it did & cleaned it all up under warranty.

I'm not actually sure if any parts were replaced or not.

Great service as usual from TH White Thumbs Up

So don't despair about it not being covered under warranty

Once last week the EPB stuck on at traffic lights. Embarrassed as queue began to form behind. Turned off, removed key, then put key in again, started engine, depressed EPB lever, and the vehicle moved forward.

Last Friday I stopped in a car park, put on the brake, and removed the key. Immediately I took the key out there was a horrendous metallic grinding noise from the rear of the car, lasting for about ten seconds. The car drove away though as normal. On Monday the grinding noise was back after I had parked and removed the key.

Immediately contacted Sturgess of Leicester who had it in yesterday. Although they couldn't get it to make the noise, they still cleaned and re-adjusted the EPB under warranty, and washed the vehicle. No re-occurrence of noise yet.

So there we are - I lost my "I'm going to get my EPB fixed before yours" race with Rescue01.

And to the victor the spoils - he paid nowt (and good luck to 'ya Thumbs Up )........and I'm £120 lighter in the process

No fault with the actuator module just a good clean out and so its a SERVICE ITEM - apparently Evil or Very Mad

Dealer was sympathetic to a degree - "its not us, its Land Rover" and went as far as to give me the phone number of customer services if I want to pursue the matter any further.

I'm not sure if this would do any good at all - Banging Head

Has anyone been successful in badgering LR customer services into actually doing anything Question

At the moment I'm pretty p Censored ed off - thats £350 they've had off me in the last 6 months for supposed 'non warranty' work on a two-and-a-half year old car.

Count to ten.........................and B R E E E E A T H E

or don't learn from their mistakes
(or , more accurately, don't admit that there are any mistakes Exclamation )

Still at least they cleaned all the crap from Tong off for me - that makes it a very expensive valet
