With your track record on D3's i don't think anyone was expecting you to only have one I believe that every human has a finite number of heart-beats. I don't intend to waste any of mine running around doing exercises.

It is a bit weird this idea of not having an SE....
Once upon a time there was S, SE and HSE - it was the same everywhere and we all knew the pattern - the more letters, the higher the spec.
Then they decided the add XS and GS in the UK only, and now they seem to have deleted the SE Is this only for UK?
I wonder what they'll do for the other markets? 2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE Auto Buckingham Blue

I expect the HSE to cost about 76000 pounds in Holland.
I expect them to be 85,000 GBP in Turkey. Our taxes are close to being prohibitive.

In Switzerland there is no base model 'S' anymore. No 2.7 anymore either, no commercial variant.
Just SE for CHF 80K and HSE for CHF 91K (= GBP 44K and GBP 50K respectively). Prices include 3 year guarantee and services up to 100K km.
Main differences in SE are no leather, no alarm, no convenience or winter pack as standard, no option for leccy seats, cheaper stereo, no Logic7 or multimedia option, navi and front PDC not standard, both have 19"s as standard but differ in style, 20"s optional, 18"s with winter tyres not available. Some options are more expensive on SE than HSE (e.g. 7 seats, 20"s) and BOTH are auto only.
Figures given are 245PS and 600NM, L/100km = 11.2/8.3/9.3; Co2= 244g/km; weight 2583kg
