dis J , penses tu qu'il soit possible d'en faire de même avec les feux arrières de D4 ? juste virer le rouge ?
merci
I have been thinking about that as well....
remove the red plastic from the inner D4 rear lights....
But didn't start that in cade of damaging em....

Some RRS owners do it on 2005-2007 rear light, getting rid of the amber bit, so I guess you could do that on D4 rear lights.
Be very - very - gentle with them though.
the matter is more: would you wand to fit D4 lights on you D3 ??? (that's ok if you do the whole conversion, but just bits just doesn't seem right...

I am thinking about this mod... Is the led 'bulb' street legal?

hard to say. these bulbs are as bright and in orange lense brighter than the originals. all the other leds are less bright and dont fill the lense with enough light.
You need the resistors despite my best effort to get them to work without but as they use so little power the resistance is too high and hence dash repeater light flashes too quick. 10 ohm 25w resistors do the trick.
Once fitted not MOT station would ever fail the car for sure with the orange lense in - and without anyones guess.

Ian
Are you sure about the resistors, mine work perfect without resistors fitted unlike the LED ones I have just removed! I have resistors fitted in the rear with my D4 lights so not sure if that should make any difference.
I would say they are actually brighter than the original bulbs fitted behind a yellow lens.
I very much doubt they would fail a UK MOT.....can't believe I have not fitted them sooner.

A big +1 up from me as well for these lamps, they really are the mutts nuts and as Ian says, they definitely fill the lens with light despite the amber diffuser being missing.
The previous cheapo Chinese ebay ones I had in before, (yes, I know, shame on me, ) were barely visible unless you were directly in line with the front of the car, specially in daylight and the silvered regular bulbs weren't really much better.
Old (cheapo) LED bulb.

So a big thanks to Ian for a great product backed up by an excellent service. Clive

Is the amber reflector made up of 2 pieces? Or do you need to cut part of it off to leave you with just the side strip?16 D4 Landmark
