Ex Highways Agency Cars - Advice needed

Possibly interested in what I presume to be an ex HA vehicle that I have seen advertised on Ebay, it is a 2007 Automatic, covered 141,000 miles, guy is looking for offers around 14 K, is there any issues I should be aware of with Ex HA vehicles, seems an odd spec, 5 seater but with air suspension, but that actually suits me. Should I be aware of any warrenty issues, there is still 13 months warrenty remaining, do HA cars come with standard warrenty ?

Thanks for any help

Get one from BCA when they go up for auction & save yourself £3k - £4k! Member character has an ex HA car and often flags up when they go under the hammer. Thumbs Up

PS ex-HA cars would also have cruise control.

I have been looking at ex HA D3s myself but their prices seem to have also been carried along (and upwards) due to the recent shortage of used vehicles.

For example - EU07XHZ (maybe the car on eBay - but definitely a close relative) regd 17/08/07 sold early Feb this year for £10200 (incl VAT & a bit over trade book) with 136k miles at BCA direct from HA & now dealers are looking for £14-15K for these cars having just thrown a bit of cheap on. Whilst looking for mine I generally found all the dealers tend to tart them up and then try to knock them out at over book retail.

I agree with DSL, you would do better picking one up when they go through BCA - Belle Vue has at least two on the 16th June (Tuesday) - EY57GAO (154501 miles regd 5-10-07) & EY57GAX (117445 miles regd 28-09-07) - both silver, auto, air susp, cruise, 5 seater etc. You can then bling it (or not) to suit you - using the considerable saving I expect you will make

To answer your main question - yes they have the same warranty - unlimited mileage for three years - the ex HA units also appear to be very well maintained and have an 'easy' life in service with no real issues

Hope this helps - off back to the BBQ now, cheers

if your using it for personal use and not in connection with any "hire and reward" situation as part of your occupation, fill yer boots, great value for money etc, mine, I'm on 284,000, had him at 190k which suggest to me that those will less than 150k are probably a bit of a troublesome car (as DaveX will second), you need to see the service print out and call the relevant dealerships, there will be no service book, owners manual, tools for the spare wheel, jack but you might be lucky to get a full size spare wheel, oh yea and no rear luggage space cover. Thumbs Up

Thanks Donny! Do they all go through Manchester or through any other locations a little closer to me?

I'm no expert but had been looking for one myself for the past few months so learned a little along the way. Wink

Currently the only ex HA ones listed with BCA are going through Belle Vue but I have also heard they have gone through other BCA sites previously - not been any for a few weeks and now they all seem to be via Manchester

You could try Joe Dowd at auctioncarbuyer http://www.auctioncarbuyer.co.uk/AuctionCarBuyer-Home.htm
He's a nice guy who I very nearly used before getting mine. It'll be just slightly more to pay than if you went yourself as he charges commission, however as he get's trade prices it almost offsets the commission plus he gets better pre-sale info and saves your time by going for you.

One of the cars from Belle Vue is on Ebay already, although seems to have lost 12K miles compared to what BCA where stating Rolling Eyes
