Disco3 going cheep cheep cheep |

I am trying to debug a small annoying noise coming from around the driver's door area.
- Sounds like either a set of small keys jangling
- Or a muted budgerigar
- Seems to occur at around 70mph, on smoothish roads
- Does not occur at low speed and/or bumpy roads (Or I cant hear it at least)
Any ideas ? It sounds like its coming from inside the car but I could easily be wrong. Also Gone : MY14 D4 SDV6 HSE : Barolo Black + Almond

Had a similiar noise last week during the dry spell and it turned out to be the wheel nuts as they jingled on rough ground. Rain here now and no more noise.

Mine was doing exactly the same thing on the Autobahns of Europe last week,
Just like you said only when at speed speed, sounds just like key ring jangling, drove for miles holding key, even stopped and took the key rings off to make sure, outside temperture was about 25C, thought it could have been something in door pocket, even emptied that, but still there.
Not noticed since ive been back, but its cooled down, and ive slowed down.
I had been wondering if it could be connected with air con system, as that has started to "fart" quite a lot recently.

That would figure, although it sounded a lot lower down than that, but i did get an occasional noise that sounded just like a rubber seal flapping, especailly at german autobahn speeds or passing big wagon going the other way.
I assume the solution is just new clips, from a friendly bloke in Yeovil RLD Sump Guard & Spare Wheel Protector, 19 GoodYear Wrangler, 17in Maxxis Bighorns

The squeaking noise from the trim sounded like the drivers side just under the steering column. Didn't do it until 65mph+ and on smoothish roads. Worse when in warm weather as well..... ------------------------------

great find ! just checked mine and the bottom of the trim on drivers side is definately loose, feels just like a clip has broken. passenger side is fine.
Did you fix this yourself or did the dealer fix it.
I'll add it to the list of things to be looked at when it goes in for next service. Also Gone : MY14 D4 SDV6 HSE : Barolo Black + Almond

you beat me too it..... I had a collective of squirrels at 70mph...... it was the bottom exterior door trim... a suitable dink with a clench fist fixed it... or duck tape !! Got our Disco... Love it.....
