Not sure how to unlock but if you own the original DVD you could copy it using something like DVDShrink and remove the region control from the disc. Plus you don't run the risk of scratching the original Thumbs Up

DVD Region Free

There is already a region free unlock code on this site for a Rosen G10 (part YIP500350). I bought a unit from Canada and used this code sucessfully.

I could't find the post related to the code to unlock the region. Would it be possible to send me a link?

The procedure to follow -

1. Flip down the screen to power the unit.

2. Using the buttons on the unit key the following -

Eject - Arrow Up - Arrow Down - Arrow Left - Arrow Right

You should now be in the maintenance menu with a list of regions. Region 0 is region free.

3. Use the Arrow Up and Arrow Down to change the region, and then go to Exit and press the Enter button.

It's a bit fiddly and you may have to try a few times before you get the knack, however it does work.

You need to keep a copy of this procedure as very occasionally the unit throws a wobbler for some random reason defaults to the factory settings.

Hope that this helps.

Steve

Dear Steve,

I tried it several times to no avail. Should it be executed on the mount unit or at the remote control?
Should I key the buttons sequentially or all at the same time?

Kind regards

Double checked on my unit and the sequence works fine.

You need to press the keys on the unit itself (not the remote control) and sequentially. Suggest you lower the screen and insert a dvd, then press the stop/eject button twice followed by the arrow keys as described in my last. You should do this fairly quickly and this will bring you to the maintenance screen. Leave the unit for 5 seconds prior to selecting the required region - if you do not wait the 5 seconds, then the unit will return to the default Land Rover introduction screen on pressing any button.

Hi, I also have the Rosen G10 Rear DVD player which is set to region 2, I need region 4 for New Zealand. I have been able to get through to the main menu to view the region selection/options, waited 5-30 seconds but every time I try to use any of the arrow buttons the screen reverts back to the Land Rover wallpaper screen. My god it is frustrating and the kids are sick of it.
Any thoughts, anyone, please?

I do not have information on the A9, only other one I know is the AV7500. Rosen are no help which isn't helpful for such a high end product.

Here by law they have to give you the unlock code if they sell you a player.
