I must have 10 Bimmers, a variety of 3 series through z's to 5 series - best was a 540 V8 - lovely!! love the engineering, the ergonomics, the service and I used to love the look on peoples faces when you let them out in traffic, or pull over so they can overtake! but I agree with the earlier comment - i moved from a Bimmer to cooper S when i stopped commuting but still felt the urge to hoon around (as in drive fast - not cheat on expenses! Shocked ) but having got my D3's I drive smoothly, slowly and enjoy it just as much. good luck and stay shiny side up! ( a comment that is meaningless in a D3!) Thumbs Up

Looked at a new Z4 for mrs bcc on Friday, nice car but grossly expensive for what you get. Might consider a used one though as the bike is getting sold soon and it's a compromise to a roadster but at least I won't kill myself!!
Can't seem me getting shot of the d3 for avoid while as it ticks most of my boxes.
Good luck with ya new motor.
 Welcome "Lola" Smile

Oh dear I seem to have started something here. Sorry but this idea that all BMW drivers are ******* is just rubbish. I'll be a D3 driver until about 4ish today then I'll be a BMW driver, I won’t suddenly grow horns and start cutting people up etc. Anyway it's those Merc drivers you've gotta watch for Laughing I've got a 330i by the way. I'll be sorry to see the disco go, I even tried to get my misses to trade her Mini in so she could drive the Disco but she threatened to cut bits off me if I mentioned it again!!! (She loves her Mini more than me)

My experience of BMW aftersales is appalling - both in the Midlands and around Brighton.

Some Audi owners seem to be taking over from BMW owners for being badly behaved.
