Keep reading the thread. It wasn't the NOS you think it was. I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

You know how coca cola cleans 2p pieces, well I wonder how good it is as a fuel additive to clean EGR's Long succession of Disco's since 2001...

It never ceases to amaze me just what surround us. I witnessed a better one. Young apprentice worked for me, bought himself a moped, one day wouldn't start, after ages it was suggested may be out of juice, so he whips off the petrol cap but can't see any petrol..too dark in the tank. Now you or me would simply rock the bike and listen for the splosh. No not this muppet, whips out his zippo lighter click! click! we're diving for cover waiting for the bang. Nothing????? Can't believe it no explosion, wheres the zippo? he dropped it in the tank. He should have done the lottery that day.
Common myth..... A match dropped into a motorbike tank will most likely go out. Too much fuel vapour and not enough air in there. However, I wouldn't offer to demonstrate on my own bike (as I wouldn't want to have the matchstick in there!). Fuel vapour in air needs to be about 8%-10% saturation for combustion. Once there's too much fuel vapour in an enclosed space it shouldn't ignite......... The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom

Keyword "SHOULDN'T"
Sometimes "SHOULDN'T" can be read "DOES"
Then it is time for a new pair of pants (best outcome) and everyone else
or a wooden overcoat (worst outcome) and everyone else Rob Smith

JMC I'm guessing but somewhere in between nose height and fuel tank filler you get 8-10% fuel air ratio . Hey but guess what..... I aint gonna try it ................. unless its the ex missus' car

Safer to get the ex-missus to try on her own car, with you at a safe distance with video camera. Rob Smith
