Dog/Cargo barrier 1/2 size |
|
Hi All
First question (of many I expect).
I'd like a cargo guard that only does above the seats, so that I can fold down one of the second row and get a long box through underneath the guard. The standard fit LR one doesn't seem to allow this, so the question is - is there one available that you could recommend?
I have seen one on paddocks which looks like it might do the job, but does it work well as it appears to be attached with wires to the d rings on the floor, which might make it tricky fitting a load liner at the same time (I'm thinking one of the fabric type ones with a folding flap)
Any advice appreciated thanks.

Hi DJ
Ive just had a look at mine, thinking you may be able to cut the bottom off.
Not an option, as it incorporates the main fixings.
You a FD by any chance ?

I wondered about cutting one about, probably not an FD as I'm not sure what you mean!
Cheers

Dj, you could get the full length one and just cut out the mesh on the bottom section. I'm sure it would hold its shape/ rigidity with it out. The bottom cross bar would be up a few inchs but you could probably live with that? A happy childhood ... is the worst possible preparation for life.

Hi
I've got a half height guard (Britpart manufacture I think) that is held in place by 8 - 10mm 'wires' tensioned via from the D rings in the back.. Works fine and is very rigid with no rattles. Also use a Hatchbag fabric loadliner with velcro loops attached to the guard. Easy to drop second row seats when required without having to remove the guard.

Unnecessary quote removed
Thanks for the reply, that sounds like its going to do the job nicely thanks. I might see if I can get one of my ladies to run up a boot liner as I like the idea of a slightly padded one and we have all that type of thing here, then I can incorporate any extra bits I think I need. We'll see!
