Oh good point that man! I have a stream on the northern edge of my garden that has got silted up over the years and is a bit manky for it. We've got the nod to do some clearance upstream to bring the flow back to its former bubbling glory but it would be sooo much better if I could claim it on expenses I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

oh FFS!!! am i the only on here with no...... "water feature" (david brent accent)
P ss off the lot of you. i'm off to rent a digger and make myself some sort of lake......
So I'm sat in a hotel room in Crawley with an Andy McNab book and a couple of bottles of St Austell Tribute while you get to saunter along the north coast of cornwall watching the sets rolling in.
Swap you
Back OT, I quite like the sound of this floating island for ducks that has been claimed for. Must see if I can knock up something similar when I redo the ponds this summer I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

You could always do what a neighbour near my parents house did. He had a fountain in the garden, that ran 24/7 right up to the point the water board shut the water off for some pipe work. When they turned the system back on the fountain started up again. Can't get more than that Dr. Ian Malcolm:
"Yeah, but your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should."
Transgenic tomato anyone?
On the plus side, it will give the ducks and the confused chickens something to do. On the minus side, that's another thing to wash off the dog's coat. I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Don't forget to install solar panels in the roof, some batteries and the workings of a remote controlled boat so you can drive it around the pond Dr. Ian Malcolm:
