Will do, although it will be a while until my car goes to the dealers (I don't want them to have it just before the easter hols!).

Below is a list of the issues addressed by this Patch File.
· Discovery 3 / LR3 and Range Rover Sport TDV6 Turbocharger Variable Vane sticking (P Code's P0132-B, P0299, P0234 and P0046)
· Discovery 3 / LR3 and Range Rover Sport TDV6 Auto V Max revised calibration
· Discovery 3 / LR3 and Range Rover Sport TDV6 Auto Cold Start Poor Throttle response
· Discovery 3 / LR3 and Range Rover Sport TDV6 Slow speed stall

Ive seen the vane sticking problem myself a few times.

Sweet thanks for this - just downloaded the pdf. The turbo charger vane sticking I would guess is what gives me probs when changing 1st to 2nd - definite power loss 80% of the time when pulling away.

The Slow Speed stall is something I have complained about before - hills starts are a pain unless you give the thing loads of revs. Ok if you have a run up to a hill, will pull OK.

thanks

My RRS TDV6 SE was also done this week - it has transformed the cold starting and seemes to have cured (for the time being!) all the "Engine System Fault" alarms that were coming up. The fuel economy is also much better than pre call out of LR Assistance. Took the dealer a week to do it though!

2005 Discovery 3 TDV6 Base 7 Seat Auto Bonatti GreyDiscovery 3

After taking our Auto D3 for its first service they gave us a Manual, which was alot faster, we then drove another auto which was also faster.

Is there a problem with ours?

Russia 2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 HSE Auto Atacama SandDiscovery 3

Got update yesterday due to 2 reasons:
- climate-control unevenness heating in driver's foot area
- cold start as if it is less than 6 cylinders

(according to VIN my TD6 had lvl 13 without any patches installed at the factory)

Results:
- climate-control fixed (I've noticed some air flow from front deflectors as well), can't tell about foot area, it became above zero here Smile
- cold start fixed, sounds like good 6-cyl engine now Smile)

However,
I've noticed the change in engine sound now, it is more "rought" to me now

and

it became rather difficult to make smooth start - foot-throttle requires very gentle push otherwise D3 accelerates with spurt...

and

automatic transmission also less smooth than before...

Question to you guys - did some1 notice the same or I became just to sensitive? Wink

Your auto transmission has probably been reset... it will may well need to learn your driving style again and will adjust.

This has happened to many before post service.

If it doesn't after a few drives then maybe you have another issue.

Had the software update too, the pre heat/cool menu is gone and I noticed the rough engine noise, now it sounds like an old diesel, when pressing the gas pedal there's an unpleasant sound. Also they informed me that the steering knock is a known problem, due to some Teflon joint in the lower steering column. They said there was a flaw in the design and there will be a replacement in May. Oh, and I have air flowing from all the vents now.

Mine now has WDS 13 patch 1+2, not 3 because apparently LR pulled this from their download site.

No i Very Happy , I still have the preheat/cool (not tested yet if it works) Very Happy and a much better engine response Very Happy is the result after more than 1 hour of upgrading the engine, gearbox, navigation, airco. I don't have a new MPG figure because I haven't done enough kms/miles yet... Embarassed

My new car was patched before delivery and I felt that the engine was much more responsive than the D3 I had tested a day long.

Could it be that we have been Turbochipped by Land Rover Laughing
