Base CD Player not accepting discs. |
|
OK, I know it's not the end of the world, but I do expect it to work although it's not something I use a great deal TBH. Only 3 wks out of original warranty, and now under LR approved extended warranty, and this happens All discs (genuine) continually keep being ejected, with 'disc error' showing on display. I have tried resetting (car asleep, battery disconnect, wait, etc) to no avail. Anyone with any experience of this? before I take it to a dealer, and is there likely to be any reason why it wouldn't be covered? TIA.

If you read the extended warranty the stereo is covered, even though the dealer told me it wasn't when selling the policy
It excludes "Telephone/TV/DVD/Video and Satellite navigation systems", which means the normal stereo and CD player are covered.

Thanks fob, I will take it in, in the new year and see what they say. Be interested to hear about the new unit. C/wide, thanks I had read the same, and hope it will be covered, it's just you never know with some of these dealers....

This is not uncommon, you need a new radio. There is a SSM for this, Land Rover knows there is an issue. If the certified won't cover it, ask the service manager to goodwill it. You might have to pay a % of the cost. Call customer service before going to the dealer. They should take care of it for you...

Sorted at last A very big thank you to Lisa, and the team at CHPR for their help in this matter. However, I am now in dire need of some counselling, after dribbling over their showroom vehicles.
